Three Rivers Park District consists of over 21 sites in seven counties and is home to many well known parks in the western Twin Cities metro area. The park system is comprised of 27,000 acres, and welcomes over 7 million guests each year. Guests have the opportunity to partake in activities, such as; arts and crafts, fitness clubs, and musical performances. Three Rivers Park District is also great for independent interests, including; bicycling, camping, canoeing, disc golf, swimming, and skiing.

With the help from several new grants, the Coon Rapids Dam Visitor Center, which is located on the West side of the dam, has acquired a new look. The Visitor Center displays amazing aquariums, which house many of the Mississippi River’s wonderful creatures.

Definitive Aquarium is volunteering their services to bridge the funding gap, by providing ongoing maintenance for the aquariums. "We feel it's important to give back to our (local) communities. Habitattitude is a nationwide program to educate and encourage the proper disposal of unwanted aquatic species.

Their goal is to educate aquarium, pond and water gardeners the impact that releasing imported ornamental and hybrid aquatic species into the wild can have.

We have been working for the last few months to do our part and implement tons of green products and practices. We have helped our customers reduce their energy use by 80% through the use of advanced new LED lighting, high efficiency T5 lamps, & energy efficient pumps.

We are constantly working to do our part to keep the aquarium industry and our wonderful fish friends alive and well for generations to come. We use aqua-cultured livestock whenever available and choose vendors that are active members in ReefCheck and Marine Aquarium Council, who are constantly working to improve the sustainability and harmless capture of all of our excellent friends.

We are working to bring our customers a full database to order fish and supplies online. Currently in beta, it will allow customers to order commonly need supplies and have them delivered on their next service visit. Just one more way we are working to bring our customers the best service!

Aquarium maintenance should be hassle free, so we have implemented automatic scheduling and notification. Our system will e-mail you a notification of your next service appointment in advance as well as a reminder the day of and can even automatically set it as a reminder in most calendar programs.
